This a card for Virginia Montagna's husband, Richard on his birthday in July, 2012. Sorry I forgot the exact date. It is layered. The cake just jumps out at you. Hope he likes it. I am not use to doing a man's card. Kind of kiddish, but maybe he'll get a laugh out of it. 6/29/2012
This blog is to show cards and mini books, ATCs. I make and others have made and sent to me in swaps or RAK. A little about what it is and how it was made. I also may show other crafts I enjoy doing.

This a card from Kath Coughlin in the UK. She sent this to show me what they in the UK (and in Canada) call Decoupage. I call it Layering or 3-D, some call it Paper Tole. What ever you call it, it is beautiful. The work she went to, to cut it out, is amazing and absolutely perfect. Thank you, Kath.

This a lovely RAK from Judy Clarke. It traveled frmo Australia to Mi and back to Australia, then itlaft there and finally ended up with me, where it was to be. Judy also sent sent a collection of rubber stamps. Just never mentioned she sent it and trusted the postman to eventually get it to me.
The clocks on right are 3-D or Paper Tole. Thanks ever so much, Miss Judy.

This a very pretty card from Linda McCormick in the WWPC group for June 2012, it is the Butterfly theme. Nicely done. THe buterfly is Paper Tole or as I call it 3-D
This what Linda wrote about the card:
This what Linda wrote about the card:
Glad
you like it Margie. It was made using a free stamp from Craft Stamper
Magazine
It was one of the examples shown on makes with the free stamp. It was
designed by Kay Halliwell-Sutton from IndigoBlu who designed the free Boxing
Hares Stamp. It is a background built up using Distress Ink Tumbled Glass
sponged round a torn piece of card and then stamping the grasses from their Wild
Meadow set (I already had these) in three different shades of green. Then stamp
the hares and the butterfly in Eggplant. The butterfly is then stamped on to a
plain piece of paper using three colours, this is then cut out and mounted on
top of the one already stamped. I bent the wings and then used silicone to mount
on card putting sufficient under the wings to hold them up.
Hope this makes sense
Hugs Linda Mc

This card is beautiful and it is mine. All mine. Of course embroidered cards are my favorites. Just wish I could do this delicate work. This was made by Nora Beharrie in Australia and it is the Free Style Swap for Card Crafts - June 1012.
I hope you can really see the neatness of her pin-holes and her stitiches.

Now this is a card I am more proud of. It is what I am use to, my comfort zone. It goes to Iona Reid in Scotland. Oh to live in Scotland must be wonderful. The card is for the "R" Swap on the Card Craft Group for June 2012. It is embroidered and I used a die to cut circle. The card is RED and the flower is RED and I hope a ROSE. Jus trying to cover as many bases as I can.
I just never get them straight in the scanner.

This a card I am not proud of at all. But after 3 tries I had to say "Enough". It is a Sketch Swap to Claudette Gaines in Ca. The group is PaperCraft. The month is June 2012. I do not have the right dies to do it justice and the colors I just could not get a handle on. I even got it crooked in the scanner. Is Claudette does not like it, I will send another. Sorry, Claudette for lack of imagination and more practice.
I went out of my comfort zone on this.

Just wanted to add a picture of the cutest baby ever. Xavier will be one year old in a few days and is such a joy and happy baby. Smiles all the time. Has huge dimples that no others have. The hat did not stay on long nor did he want his new shoes on. Xavier is his name and he lives in Ca. so far from Texas where I live. Would love to watch him grow up, but since I can't my daughter Sherry, his grandmother can. Oh and his parents. He adores his sissy, Ashlynn who is 15.
