First off I did NOT make this card, but wanted to show you the work that must have gone into it.  It is a Embroidered CD.... Nicely done, wouldn't you say!   I believe this card is from someone on one of my new card groups.   Just liked it so well I wanted to show it.

Just a few of the preemie caps and blankets that I have made and donated to a hospital while living in KY.   Hope to do the same here in Victoria, TX .  Any one else up to doing the same?  I also have a group on FaceBook for preemies.  http://www.facebook.com/groups/267264207608/  or you can go to FB and put in preemies caps, blankets for donation. They're a couple of links for patterns to use for the preemies.

Spiral basket, made with a Chennille yarn and cord.  It was a gift for someone.  These baskets are so easy to make and you can mold them into anything as you weave the yarn in and out.

Card weaving, also known as tablet weaving.  2007 was when I made these. Here is a link for card weaving http://www.stringpage.com/tw/basictw.html
An altered book I did for a friend.... she is in the Red Hat Society.

Two cards I made "when" I was making cards and I still love the embroidered pattern on these.
My beautiful little great grandson, Xavier.   Have you ever seen a more angelic face when sleeping!  Wish we lived closer together.   But as with his sister, Ashlynn I will not get to know them like I wish.

Today is Saturday, the 21st and I am "Home Alone", well, except for Bandit he is my companion till Garner gets home.  Working on a embroidered card and am finding my eye sight is not what it once was.  This card is for a swap in Feb.  Also watching old movies on TV, or rather listening as I sew.  The complex is quiet , no kids out playing and the people up stairs are also quiet, probably gone.  So best I make the most of it and get back to crafting.

Two quilts I made a few years back and a fairy tree house.  I even have a fairy for it, but it is packed away.
One quilt that is now in the hands of my daughter is called Trip Around the World, totoally by hand from start to finish.
The Log cabin one is my favorite and I have it. Never used, I just look at it once in a while.  I did machine stitch the top, but quilted it by hand.
Fairy house is mostly machine stitched.  And it was a pain to make.

I will be adding crafts other than just paper... as soon as I can find them in Picasa.  Same as my cards.  These two are just a sample of things to come.  The top one is needle punch and it is a craft I did as a child, but for some reason it seems harder to master now.  The bottom is a work of love.  These are just a fw of the preemie caps I have made for the wee ones that need a little help.

I'm back (1/18/2012)

Back in Texas where I belong.  Little older, little fatter and a whole lot smarter.  No, really, but I am back in Texas. I hope to make this a good year.
Here you will see my cards I make, our puppy Bandit and even family photos (maybe).  But mostly things I make here in my little old craft room.  Crocheting, card weaving, Kanzashi that I am learning, maybe some quilling and anything I make for preemie donations.  Must mention my dolls, my needle punch, embroidery and etc.  I am a jack of all crafts and a master of none.
