I made this card yesterday.   It is (I believe) called the sponged on layered look.  I used Distressed Ink, a rubberstamp and ribbon.  My first try at this ink technique, but will try it again.   I need to get my paper strips torn and attached better, also judge my distance for the stamp better.  This card is attached to a black card and has a black envelope to go with it, but all will be sent in an envelope same color as ribbon.
I decided to send this card to Chardon High School in Chardon, OH. This is where they had the 3 shot  and killed, others injured.  The school wants to paper a wall with all the cards they receive.

    After looking at all the really beautiful distressed inked cards, they make mine look very bland and plain. I do know I need to used embossing powders to give it the finished look, also more colors. So back to Hobby Lobby soon.
